Do you see yourself working closely with the Quality Manager, R&D and regulatory teams to provide guidance and create all required test methods, validations, and complete product release to meet global regulatory and product safety requirements? Then you’re in the right place with this client.
For our client in Hillegom, we are looking for a Quality Engineer.
Our client has modern quality and test laboratories within its global organization, developed for both product development and quality assurance.
You will communicate and provide guidance to departments such as Production, Chemical Development, Planning, and Purchasing.
You will carry out assigned tasks within set deadlines, such as correctly identifying non-conforming raw materials and using the appropriate protocols/methods to perform required tests.
As a Quality Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
• Coordinating microbiological checks and batch release
• Leading stability test programs in collaboration with R&D
• Ownership and maintenance of analytical equipment: (HS)-GC, IR, HPLC
• Creating all required method development and validation processes
• Leading all analytical activities – formulation adjustments and root cause analyses
• Ensuring incoming inspection of raw materials meets all required specifications
• Chemical analysis and troubleshooting – blending department & field complaints
• Creating validation processes and providing quality reports to ensure all quality regulations are met
• Complying with ISO22716:2007 and global certifications for product registration
• Leading analytical projects, procedures, and providing test results & reports for assigned projects
• Completing (second tier) release of raw materials, semi-finished and finished products
• Providing root cause analysis for out-of-specification analytical results
• Responsible for maintaining all lab-based QC documentation
• Supporting internal and external audits
Additional tasks:
• In-line quality control
• Supporting R&D projects
• Assisting in troubleshooting production deviations

What do you bring?
• Minimum a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry
• 2 to 5 years of experience in quality
• Over 3 years of analytical experience
• Good knowledge of Microsoft applications (Windows, Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Communication skills, both spoken and written, in English
• More than 2 years of experience working in an ISO and GMP environment

• Strong communicator between departments and in providing project updates
• A strong team player who can also work independently
• Strong administrative skills and the ability to prioritize
• Knowledge of current laboratory practices
• Willingness for continuous improvement and learning
• Precise work attitude
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and within deadlines
